Panther softball’s Peyton Johnson named MVC Newcomer of the Week

ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) announced its weekly softball awards on Tuesday morning. Peyton Johnson was named MVC Newcomer of the Week for the second time this season.
Peyton Johnson recorded a .364 batting average with four hits, four runs, and seven RBIs in 11 at-bats (with six walks). She had a .636 slugging percentage in UNI's 4-1 weekend with a home run and seven total bases.
The Panthers continue Valley play with a three-game series at Valparaiso. The Panthers open the weekend with a Friday doubleheader, before a Saturday single to wrap up the series. All three contests will be available on ESPN+.
