Fans are encouraged to bring the heat to the arena with tropical attire. This year's Panthers In Paradise event, which was nationally recognized in 2025 with a silver award from NACMA, will once again feature courtside hot tubs for UNI students, as well as beach towels, Hawaiian shirts, leis and sunglasses giveaways.
UNI trails Bradley in the all-time series 41-37 and will look to avenge its Jan. 10 road loss to the Braves in Peoria, 75-69. The Panthers have split the regular season series with Bradley in each of the previous two seasons with the home team winning each respective matchup.
Northern Iowa closed out January with a commanding 71-55 win over Evansville at home last Saturday, shooting 54.7% from the field with 22 assisted baskets, a season-high against an MVC opponent. Will Hornseth scored a career-high 21 points on a career-best ten made baskets, while both Trey Campbell and Ben Schwieger notched double-doubles, with Campbell dishing out a career-high ten assists. Leon Bond III also added 11 points and eight points from Ismael Diouf.
UNI leads all of Division I men's basketball in scoring defense with 60.7 points allowed per game, giving up 70 points just three times this season. The Panthers are 10-2 when holding teams to 60 or fewer points this year.
Northern Iowa is also second in Division I in three-point percentage defense, limiting opponents to just 26.3% from beyond the arc behind only UT Arlington. Entering their game against Bradley, the Panthers have held 11 of their last 13 opponents under 30% from three-point range.
UNI's scoring defense is currently on pace for the fourth-best mark since transitioning to a Division I program (1980-81). The Panthers have made the NCAA Tournament each of the previous three seasons when giving up 60 points or fewer. The Panthers are also 28th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (.400).
Campbell looks to continue to add to the record book against the Beacons. Having scored his 1,000th career point in December, Campbell's 119 career starts at UNI are fourth-most in program history, and the most among all active players in the MVC. Campbell is also tied for fifth in team history in career steals (157), seventh in three-point field goal attempts (512) and eighth in made three-pointers made (193). With 44 rebounds and 16 more assists, Campbell can also become the first player in UNI history to record 1,000 career points, 500 career rebounds and 300 career assists.
Hornseth also looks to continue to be a strong presence inside the paint, recently taking over as UNI's career shooting percentage leader (63.8%) with a minimum of 100 made shots. Bond meanwhile looks to continue his march to 500 points in his UNI career, looking to become the 117th player in team history to reach the milestone.
SCOUTING BRADLEY
The Braves will make the trip to Cedar Falls after a Tuesday night home win over Valparaiso, 72-65, looking to maintain its second place position in the MVC standings with a 9-4 conference mark.
Led by 11th year head coach Brian Wardle, who this week cracked the MVC's top-ten list for conference only coaching victories, the Braves, like the Panthers, have been stellar in ball security, with a turnover margin of five (fifth-best in Division I) and a conference-best 9.5 turnovers per game (17th fewest in Division I).
Jaquan Johnson leads Bradley with 16.3 points, with reigning MVC Player of the Week Alex Hubregste (11.8 PPG) and Demarion Burch (10.2) also posting double-digit scoring averages. Johnson also ranks second in the nation with 69 total steals, while Huibregste leads the league in three-point shooting (.421).
