CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI volleyball will round out the non-conference portion of its 2025 schedule beginning Thursday afternoon as the Panthers head to Wisconsin for the Capital Credit Union Classic in Green Bay against Tennessee Tech, Western Michigan and Green Bay.
Live coverage of all three matches will be available on the Panther Sports Radio Network (106.5 FM Corn Country / 93.5 HD-2) with Chris Kleinhans-Schulz on the call. Only Saturday's match against Green Bay will be televised, which can be found on ESPN+.
The Panthers hold a combined 11-1 record against the field, which will also include their first-ever matchup with Tennessee Tech to open the tournament. Northern Iowa will look to avenge its only loss to Western Michigan in program history from 2023 in Friday's match, while the Panthers are a perfect 6-0 all-time against the Phoenix.
UNI will also look to break above the .500 mark before the start of MVC play next week. UNI last finished non-conference play above .500 in 2022 at 7-6, and have finished non-conference action .500 or better in five of the last ten seasons (2016, 2017-18, 2022-23).
The Panthers make the trip to Wisconsin following a third-place team finish at the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha last weekend, featuring a sweep of Rice and losses to No. 4 Louisville and No. 18 Creighton. Outside hitter Lily Dykstra was named to the All-Tournament Team after posting 4.5 kills per set at the event. Additionally, outside hitter Cassidy Hartman notched a pair of double-doubles in Omaha, and notably set a new career-high with 23 kills a week ago against Iowa State. Averaging 4.5 kills per set last week, Hartman was named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Player of the Week on Monday.
UNI ranks ninth in all of Division I volleyball with 38.1 attacks per set, as well as 22nd in assists per frame (13.1) and 33rd in digs per set (15.7). The Panthers also led the MVC in kills (14.1) and assists (13.1) per set, while ranking third in the league with 15.7 digs per frame.
Dykstra leads the MVC in kills per set (4) and has recorded nine or more kills in all nine matches this season, including ten consecutive contests dating back to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2024. She has also posted ten or more kills five times this season, while Hartman has notched six matches with ten-plus kills in 2025.
Reese Booth anchors Northern Iowa with 5.77 assists per set with freshman setter Kate Shafer notching an even five assists per frame, while Jadyn Petersen leads the Panther defense with 4.03 digs per set. At the net, redshirt freshman Maryn Bixby has posted a team-high 27 blocks on the year, as Lindsay Oldendorf recording 24 total blocks.

Tennessee Tech posted a 24-8 record last year and went 12-6 in Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) play in 2024.
Led by eighth year head coach Jeannette Phillips, the Golden Eagles were picked third in this year's OVC preseason poll with freshman middleblocker Jordyn Milhouse earning a spot on the OVC preseason team. Tennessee Tech also returns a pair of All-OVC performers from last year in setter Jordyn Karlen and outside hitter Alayna Pierce.
Tennessee Tech ranked third in the OVC with 1.7 service aces per set, while Karlen lead the league this year with 291 total assists.

Under the leadership of 21st year head coach Colleen Munson, the Broncos were picked fourth in the MAC's preseason poll with middle blocker Mary Clare Brusek being named to the league's preseason team.
Western Michigan leads MAC and ranks 35th in the nation with 15.7 digs per set with Elana Erickson leading the Broncos with 4.35 digs per frame. Leah Richmond also ranks in the top-25 in Division I volleyball with 329 total assists.
