UNI women’s tennis set to face Milwaukee Panthers on the road

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — After a weekend off from competition, the UNI women's tennis team is ready to travel to Wisconsin to compete in a non-conference matchup against Milwaukee on Saturday, March 8. The Panthers will compete at 11:30 a.m. CT at the River Glen Elite Center.
Two weeks ago, the Panthers faced tough competition in a pair of duals, falling 1-4 to SIU Edwardsville and 3-4 to St. Thomas. Despite the losses, several standout performances showcased the team's growth.
Against SIUE, Andjela Raznatovic was the lone Panther to secure a win in singles action, defeating her opponent 2-1 before retiring. In doubles, Kanyanut Sudsaard and Lasya Mylavarapu battled through a close match, securing a 7-5 victory. Kim Zizek and Andjela Raznatovic also showed great effort but narrowly lost, 7-6.
The Panthers continued to compete against St. Thomas, earning three singles victories. Senior Darta Dalecka delivered a dominant performance, defeating her opponent 6-4, 6-0. Raznatovic showed her resilience, earning a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 win. Additionally, the number 1 duo of Darta and Lorena Cardoso won a tight 7-6 battle in doubles play. Zizek and Raznatovic also earned a 7-6 victory. Meanwhile, Sudsaard and Mylavarapu came up short, losing 7-5.
