CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI Athletics, in partnership with its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), will hold its seventh annual UNIty walk on the evening of Monday, Oct. 19.
The event is open to all UNI students, staff and faculty members, as well as community members. This year's walk will begin at 7 p.m. CT at the south entrance of the McLeod Center and end at the campanile.
"Planning this event each year allows us to bring student-athletes, coaches, staff, and community members together in a meaningful way, and has become a staple for our department," said Andrea Greve-Coello, UNI's Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development. "It is especially meaningful to see each new generation of student-athletes take ownership of this event, carrying forward the vision and spirit of the student-athlete leaders who established it."
Established in the fall of 2020, the UNIty Walk has served as a reminder of the importance of community, and has become a space for UNI student-athletes, coaches and staff to learn from and support one another. This walk was started by student-athlete leaders, and continues to be a staple for the UNI Athletic department as it is one of the only times athletes, coaches, staff members and community members are all together throughout the year.
UNI Athletics action can be followed all year long on social media on Facebook (UNI Athletics), X (@UNIAthletics) and on Instagram (@uniathletics). Schedules and rosters, along with the latest Panther news and information can be found online at UNIpanthers.com.
