UNI women's tennis gears up for Spring opener

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team is set to launch its spring season this weekend, following their fall campaign that concluded at the MVC Individual Championships in Chicago last October. Abbie Peterson highlighted the fall season with a sixth-place finish, standing as the Panthers' sole place winner.
This weekend, the Panthers will travel to Nelson Tennis Center at Chick Evans Field House in DeKalb, Illinois, for two matchups. On Saturday, UNI will face Northern Illinois University (NIU), followed by a Sunday showdown against Eastern Illinois (EIU).
Next, the Panthers will return home to host a trio of matches at Black Hawk Tennis Club, in Waterloo.
