Panther men’s golf opens spring season in Nevada at Jackrabbit Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI men's golf team will tee off the second half of their season starting this Friday, March 8 at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nevada as the Panthers compete in their first tournament back from the fall season ending in October.
Competition is set to begin at 9 a.m. CT on Friday morning with a shotgun start and play 36 holes, followed by a shotgun start 18 holes Saturday at 9 a.m. CT.
The Panthers will be put up against Boulder Creek Golf Club, a 7,402-yard, par-72 course. Northern Iowa will face a field of 11 other teams including South Dakota State, Bradley, and Creighton.
UNI is led this spring by redshirt senior Griffin Parker, who averaged 73.24 strokes per round in the fall season. Following Parker is junior J.D. Pollard who averaged a score of 75.00. Other notable Panthers include freshman Tanner Dinnibier, who shot a career low 65 at the Drake Dual last fall, and senior Connor Van Weelden who averaged 75.44 strokes.
