CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- It will be a clash of the cats on Thursday night inside the McLeod Center as UNI men's basketball welcomes the Milwaukee Panthers to town in non-conference action.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT inside the McLeod Center, with live coverage available on ESPN+ and the Panther Sports Radio Network with J.W. Cox and Kevin Boyle on the call.

Thursday night will be the tenth all-time meeting between Northern Iowa and Milwaukee, with UNI leading the series by a narrow 5-4 margin. Milwaukee won the last meeting in Dec. 2013 in Wisconsin by a score of 83-72.
The Panthers will look to build off its impressive showing on Monday night during its regular season opening win over Dubuque, 96-54. In the victory, UNI shot over 50% from the field and outrebounded the Spartans by a two-to-one margin. Transfers Max Weisbrod, Ben Schwieger and Leon Bond III all made their Panther debuts on Monday night, while Wes Rubin, Hunter Jacobson and Will Hornseth all saw their first minutes of collegiate action.
Sophomore guard Taylor finished the night with a career-high 13 points on six-of-eight shooting in 19 minutes, as well as a career-best four assists. Tyan Anderson also finished with 13 points and six rebounds. Bond recorded 12 points and a team-high seven boards in the win, as Schwieger notched 12 points. Weisbrod tallied 11 points with three assists and four steals, while Kyle Pock sank all three of his shot attempts from behind the three-point arc to finish with nine points. Hornseth finished the game with nine points and two blocks.
Scoring 96 points in their season opener, the Panthers improved to 87-12 (.877) when scoring at 80 points or more under head coach Ben Jacobson. Northern Iowa also improved to 13-6 in season openers under Jacobson with the win, and 17-2 in home openers.
SCOUTING MILWAUKEE
Milwaukee opened its 2024-25 season on Monday with a 118-62 rout of Division III Lakeland, in a game where seven players, including all five starters scored in double-digit figures.
Under the leadership of third year head coach Bart Lundy, the Panthers, the co-preseason favorite in the Horizon League, saw the duo of AJ McKee and Erin Pratt both selected preseason second team all-conference.
Milwaukee went 20-15 in the regular season last year, but reached the Horizon League Tournament title game after a 12-8 conference slate, falling to top-seeded Oakland by seven points.
Jamichael Stillwell led Milwaukee with 18 points and 14 rebounds on Monday night, while McKee and Pratt each scored 14. Faizon Fields and Aaron Franklin both tallied 12 points for the Panthers in the opener, with Themus Fulks dishing out seven assists. Kentreel Pullian also recorded seven steals to complement his 11-point outing.
