UNI men's golf finishes tenth at Iowa ANF Fall Classic

RIVERSIDE, Iowa –- UNI's Griffin Parker finished in a tie for 26th place on Wednesday afternoon as the Panther men's golf team teed off the 2023-24 season at the Iowa ANF Fall Classic at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course. The Panthers took tenth place overall out of 13 participating schools.
Parker carded a 222 (+6) following a strong performance in the first and second round on Tuesday, with a 73 (+1) in the first round and 72 (E) in the second. The redshirt senior notched 13 total birdies through the three rounds of play.
JD Pollard and Connor Van Weelden both tied for 34th, scoring a 225 (+9). Pollard played three solid rounds of 75 (+3), 74 (+2), and 76 (+4), while Van Weelden shot a career best 69 (-3) in his second round.
Ben Bermel tied for 44th place, notching a 77 (+5), 74 (+2), and 76 (+4) for a final score of 227 (+11). Jack Moody tied for 55th overall with a 231 (+15), while newcomer Tanner Dinnebier finished in a tie for 65th shooting a 236 (+20).
UP NEXT
The Panther men will have a quick turnaround for their next tournament Sept. 10-12 as they travel to Colorado Springs for the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, hosted by the U.S. Air Force Academy.
