UNI men's golf: Parker posts top-five finish at Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — UNI's Griffin Parker finished in fourth place individually on Tuesday afternoon as the Panther men's golf team hit the links at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational at the Eisenhower Golf Course. The Panthers took 22nd place overall out of 24 teams.
Parker finished fourth overall, carding a 210 (-6) after having three consecutive rounds under par with a 70 (-2), 71 (-1), and 69 (-3). Parker opened up the tournament with a remarkable double eagle on his second hole of the first round.
Connor Van Weelden scored a 225 (+9) tying for 70th place with a solid second round of 71 (-1). JD Pollard carded a 233 (+17) from three rounds of 79 (+7), 76 ( +4), and 78 (+6) for a 104th place tie.
Sophomore Nile Petersen brought in a 114th place finish scoring a 237 (+21) with a 78 (+6), 76 (+4), and 83 (+11). Ben Bermel finished 116th carding a 241 (+25).
UP NEXT
The Panther men will return to action Sept. 25-26 when they travel to Des Moines for the Zach Johnson Invitational, hosted by Drake University.
