UNI soccer earned United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for fifth straight year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- For a fifth consecutive season, UNI soccer has been recognized for their success in the classroom.

The Panther soccer team has been named a United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Academic Award recipient for the sixth time in program history. USC announced their 2022-23 Team Academic Award recipients ahead of the 2023-24 season.

To qualify for the award, teams must post a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. UNI recorded a 3.66 cumulative team GPA in the 2022-23 academic year. After receiving the award for the first time in 2017, the Panthers have received the distinction every year since 2019.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
