
Panther swimming and dive honored with CSCAA Scholar All-America Team recognition

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The UNI swimming & diving team has been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as an Scholar All-America Team. Â
The Panthers have earned this honor for six consecutive seasons and continue to have one of the top GPA's in the country. The Panthers posted a GPA of 3.60 to earn the honor.Â
UNI joins the other 9 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) women's swimming and diving programs as one of 16 Division I conferences to have all member schools be recognized with the honor.
This season, the Panthers have posted a 12-4 record in dual meets, tying a single-season school record, including an 11-1 mark at the Coyote Extravaganza. UNI also saw its first-ever Para-Swimming national champion be crowned in Olivia Chambers, as well as its first-ever swimmer compete at the U.S. Open Championships in Faith Larsen.
On the boards, senior diver Taylor Hogan qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones for a second consecutive season, punching her ticket to March's high profile meet with a score of 270.70 against Iowa State and West Virginia on the one-meter springboard.
UNI will compete at the Coyote Invite and Omaha Diving Invite this weekend before hosting the MVC Championships at the Campus Recreation-Wellness Center in Iowa City, Feb. 15-18.
CSCAA selected 803 teams from 479 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the fall 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their fall 2022 grade point averages and represent 19,426 student-athletes both male and female.Â
