UNI men's golf wraps up fall season at Grier Jones Shocker Invitational

NEWTON, Kan. — UNI men's golf closed out the fall portion of its 2023-24 season on Tuesday afternoon with a 15th place team finish against an experienced field at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational.
The host Wichita State Shockers repeated as tournament champions for a second consecutive year with a final team score of 841 (-23). Oklahoma State's Rayhan Thomas took home the individual title with a score of 200 (-16).
Junior JD Pollard led the Panthers finishing in a tie for 32nd place with a season low 217 (+1) with rounds of 74 (+2), 71 (-1), and 72 (E). Griffin Parker followed Pollard with three rounds of 74 (+2), 71 (-1), and 77 (+5) for a total score of 222 (+6) putting him in a tie for 59th place.
Freshman Tanner Dinnibier finished in 67th place with a total score of 224 (+8) carding a 72 (E) in his final round. Brock Seiser posted a career-best round of 74 (+2) in Monday's first round, followed by a 78 (+6) and 77 (+5) to tie for 78th place with a 229 (+13). Senior Jack Moody placed 87th with a total score of 239 (+23).
