CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI wrestling will face its fourth top-10 team this weekend when the No. 15 Panthers host No. 10 Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, which is receiving votes.Â
One lucky UNI student in the crowd will win a $1,000 scholarship at the Oklahoma State dual. The selected Panther must be enrolled full time and be present to win (see eligibility and rules). The following day will be Military Appreciation Day. All military personnel and veterans presenting a military ID will receive a free ticket to the Oklahoma dual.Â
The Panthers knocked off No. 3 Ohio State earlier this season. It was the second time in as many years UNI has beaten the No. 3 team in the nation. Last year, on a weekend road swing, the Panthers toppled then-ranked No. 3 Oklahoma State and followed it up with a win over then-ranked No. 21 Oklahoma.Â
Senior Austin Yant remains undefeated (13-0) at 165 pounds. Parker Keckeisen remains undefeated in duals (6-0) at 184 pounds. Kyle Biscoglia (125 pounds), Cael Happel (141 pounds), Derek Holschlag (157 pounds) join Yant and Keckeisen as undefeated in Big 12 duals.Â

Wittlake moved up two weight classes to 184 pounds, while Luke Surber dropped down a weight to 197 pounds. In their places, Sheets has filled the void at 165 pounds, while redshirt sophomore Konner Doucet is off to a 13-3 start at heavyweight and placed third at the Scuffle.
Big 12 champion Kaden Gfeller decided to return to Oklahoma State for his final season, while freshman Victor Voinovich has started every dual at 149 pounds. No. 13 Trevor Mastrogiovanni is not expected to compete at 125 pounds.Â

The Pokes return four All-Americans who have earned All-America honors a total of eight times, headlined by three-time NCAA finalist Daton Fix. Wyatt Sheets and Travis Wittlake are both two-time All-Americans for OSU, while Dustin Plott is coming off his first appearance on the podium last season.ÂWittlake moved up two weight classes to 184 pounds, while Luke Surber dropped down a weight to 197 pounds. The Sooners returned six of their 2022 NCAA qualifiers: Tony Madrigal, Joey Prata, Jacob Butler, Keegan Moore,Josh Heindselman andWillie McDougald. McDougald was the 2022 Big 12 149-pound runner-up and logged a 2-2 record at his first trip to the NCAA Championships.
In the offseason, head coach Lou Rosselli added 12 newcomers to the roster, including Wyatt Henson from Iowa.Â

- Henson is a redshirt freshman who started his collegiate career at Iowa. He was 17-1 competing unattached. He is the son of Sammie Henson, a silver medalist in the 2000 Olympic Games. Vidlak is a transfer from Oregon State. He compiled a 2-5 record last year.Â

- Young knocked Happel out of the 2022 Big 12 Championships last year with a 10-5 decision. Young also took the dual win last year, winning 10-6. Young took seventh at the Big 12s to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tourney. He was third at the 2021 Senior World Team Trials, defeating two former national champions at the event. Travis is a redshirt freshman who compiled an 18-2 record as a true freshman.Â
- Schwartz is a two-time NCAA qualifier at 133 pounds who transferred from Northern Colorado.

- Voinovich was first in three open tournaments as a true freshman last year. He went 16-1 on the season.Â
- In 2021, Moore transferred to OU from Virginia Tech, where he earned two NCAA berths at 141 pounds. He made a third trip to the NCAA championships in 2021 at 149 pounds with OU. His season ended early last year due to injury. Wiley is a true freshman and two-time Fargo champ who finished his prep career ranked No. 9 by FloWrestling.Â

- Gfeller is a two-time NCAA qualifier and two-time Big 12 Champion at 149 pounds. He won his first Big 12 title in 2019 and was seeded seventh at the NCAAs but went 0-2. He cut down to 141 pounds in 2021 to fill in for the Cowboys at the 2021 Big 12 Championships to finish eighth. He took his second Big 12 title last year and earned a No. 9 seed, missing all-America status by one round.Â
- Butler is a senior. After competing a couple of years at 149 pounds, he moved down to 141 pounds last season. He upset the top seed Ian Parker (Iowa State) at the Big 12 championships to earn a spot at the 2022 NCAA tourney. Hill went 6-1 competing unattached last year at OU.

- Sheets moved up a weight class this year from 157 pounds. He is a three-time NCAA qualifier and made history as the No. 33 seed to finish eighth and earn all-America honors in 2021. Harper is a senior who compiled a 13-8 record bouncing between three weight classes last year.
- Nijenhuis was a two-time NCAA qualifier for Purdue. He is in his first season with the Sooners.

- Roberts is a two-time Big 12 medalist, finishing seventh as a freshman in 2020 and sixth in 2021. Picklo competed in one match in 2022 before injury ended his season.Â

- Wittlake, a senior, bumped up two weight classes after a series of career injuries. He was fourth at the 2021 NCAA championships and won the Big 12 Championships in 2020, both at 165 pounds.Â
- Moore is a former Panther. He came to UNI from Oklahoma State and competed with his brother, Paden. The two have a third brother, Cooper, who was a two-time MAC champion and three-time NCAA qualifier for UNI. Keckeisen beat Moore at last year's dual.Â
