UNI Athletics hires Jacob Manderscheid as facilities and operations coordinator

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - UNI Athletics hired Jacob Manderscheid as the facilities and operations coordinator.Â
Manderscheid already has years of experience in UNI Athletics with his work as a student employee and manager. A recent graduate of UNI, Manderscheid has been supervising student workers since 2019. He also has been a UNI Athletics facility assistant since June 2021. He is a native of Marion, Iowa.
"We are grateful to have Jacob added to our department," said Brooke Croshier-Sidebotham, assistant athletic director for facilities and operations. "His knowledge of facilities and operations is going to be a great asset to have on our staff. For the last five years, he has been a key employee for UNI-Dome operations, and I am excited to have him now as part of our team.
Manderscheid will serve as the operations lead for the McLeod Center, supervise visiting crews in the production of sporting and entertainment events and provide oversight of support services, maintenance, custodial services, concessions set up and tear down, and security.
He also will oversee outdoor athletic facility management and the maintenance of all outdoor practice and competition facilities in collaboration with the physical plant and city of Cedar Falls.
