Panthers to Travel to South Dakota for Weekend Series

THE PANTHERS:
- The Panthers had their third shutout of the year on Friday afternoon against St. Ambrose, putting them in a 24-way tie for second place in shutouts in the NCAA.Â
- The Panthers held the Fighting Bees to just one shot on Friday afternoon for their best defensive performance of the season. By not allowing a shot on goal it was the first time UNI has completely shut out an opponent in goals and shots since 2013 in a late-October game against St. AmbroseÂ
- The Panthers had a season-high performance on Friday against St. Ambrose taking 21 shots throughout the game with 10 landing on goal. The last time UNI took over 20 shots was on September 23rd, 2019 against Western Illinois when the Panthers took 20 shots.Â
- Panthers forward Lauren Heinsch had another week showing why she currently leads the team in three different offensive categories. Heinsch scored both goals in the Panthers 2-0 shutout win over St. Ambrose on Friday afternoon and logged the most shots on goal in Sunday's loss to South Dakota.
- The Panthers currently sit at 12th in the NCAA for most fouls a game at 5.17. They are in a two-way tie for the ranked spot with MVC conference member Evansville.
THE JACKRABBITS:
-The Jackrabbits were held were held scoreless for the first time this season in a loss to Creighton on Sunday. It was also the Jackrabbits first loss of the season.
- The Jack are in a four way tie for the 25th best scoring offense in the country. South Dakota State has a scoring offense rate of 3.
- South Dakota State (5-1-0) is off to its best start in school history. The Jacks started 4-0-0 in 2001, the programs second year of existence.
THE COYOTES:
- Coyotes forward Taylor Cotter's assist moves her into sole possession of third place all-time with those 14 assists. She needs four more to tie Tina Brummer with 18.
- Coyotes goalkeeper Emma Harkleroad earned Defensive Player of the Week in the Summit League for her shutout performances against Creighton and UNI.
- In their first five games, the Coyotes have gone to at least one overtime in three games.
