Women's Basketball Non-Conference Schedule Released

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Trips to Hawaii and the Twin Cities cover some of the highlights in the Panther women's basketball team's non-conference schedule released on Wednesday.
UNI women's basketball starts the season with an exhibition game at the beginning of November against a Division 2 school. The team's lone exhibition contest comes at home on November 2nd against Division 2 opponent Truman State, hailing from Kirksville, Missouri.
The team will then alternate between home and road games for the next 4 games, including a home contest against Iowa on November 14th and Wichita State on November 20th. Away games will take place on November 9th at St. Louis and November 17th at North Dakota State. The Panthers will then have a two-game road swing to hit Coach Warren's alma mater Creighton on November 27th and St. Thomas in St. Paul on December 1st.
The Panthers will then have two more non-conference games at home before completing their non-conference schedule on the road. The last homestand of the non-conference schedule includes a game against South Dakota State on December 4th and a game against Graceland College of Lamoni, Iowa on December 6th.
UNI will then hit the road for their next three games of the non-conference schedule, beginning with a stop in Ames against Iowa State on December 12th.
The Panthers will then take their biggest road trip of the non-conference schedule, boarding a plane to Hawaii for the Maui Jim Maui Classic. UNI will play games in Maui on both December 18th and December 19th.
Last season UNI finished 17-13 and 11-7 in the conference. The Panthers then received a bid to the WNIT tournament where they went all the way to the Final Four, being beaten out by Old Miss 50-60 in Memphis, Tennessee.
