
Women’s golf finishes fourth at South Dakota State

BROOKINGS, South Dakota - The UNI women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Jackrabbit Intercollegiate in Brookings, South Dakota.
The Panthers were supposed to play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, but thunderstorms Monday afternoon caused multiple weather delays during the round. Players got through 27-30 holes, and play continued Tuesday morning, with the completion of the second round and the final 18 holes.
Senior Hannah Bermel led the Panthers, shooting rounds of 78-74-76 for a 3-day total of 228, securing her spot in the top-10 individually. Sophomores Anna Jensen and Allison Nuss totaled rounds of 231 and 238. Madison Humke shot a 54-hole total of 242 and Lily Bredemeier finished with a 243.
The next tournament for the women will be October 4-5 in Omaha, Nebraska. The University of Nebraska at Omaha will host their Stampede at the Creek tournament at Indian Creek Golf Course.
