CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Panthers hosted the Salukis of Southern Illinois on Sunday afternoon in the final regular season game of the season, completing the series sweep with a 3-0 win.

Game 3: UNI 3, SIU 0
Fans saw a great pitching duel between 2 of the best pitchers in the Missouri Valley Conference in UNI's Kailyn Packard and SIU's Sarah Harness. The two pitchers didn't give up a run until the 5^th inning when the Panthers Adara Opiola recorded an RBI single, bringing Madison Parks across the plate.
The Panthers added to their lead in the 6^th inning when Kamryn Shaffer hit a triple to center field, briniging Taylor Hogan across the plate.

The Panthers added their third run just moments later when Sammy Moss recorded an RBI single bringing Kamryn Shaffer across the plate.
UNI's Kailyn Packard received the start in the circle for UNI. Packard pitched all 7 innings, facing 26 batters, while striking out 7.

The Panthers have won their 30^th game of the season, marking the 16^th time in program history the Panthers have won 30 games and the 6^th 30 win season for head coach Ryan Jacobs. With the regular season sweep of SIU, the Panthers have earned the #2 seed in the MVC Championship.
