Griffin Parker and Carter Stochl Named MVC Scholar Athletes

ST. LOUIS - UNI's Griffin Parker and Carter Stochl have both been named MVC Scholar Athletes as announced by the leagues office on Thursday morning.

Griffin Parker earns First Team Scholar Athlete honors for the first time in is career with a 3.81 cumulative GPA in Accounting. Parker was a 2019-20 member of the MVC Honor Roll. This season Parker recorded a 73.2 stroke average in 9 rounds for the Panthers and was named to the league's 10-person all-conference team. He finished with 8 rounds in the 70's with his lone round in the 60s taking place at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate where he placed T4 after carding rounds of 71-71-68. Parker then finished 17th overall at the Stampede at the Creek where he carded 76-73-78. Named to the league's 10-person all-conference team.

Senior Carter Stochl earns Honorable Mention Scholar Athlete honors with a 3.93 cumulative GPA in Biology and Biochemistry. Stochl was a 2019-20 First Team Scholar Athlete and 2018-19 Honorable Mention Scholar Athlete. Stochl was a 2019-20 member of the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award and a member of the MVC Honor Roll. This season he recorded a 75.3 stroke average in 9 rounds. He finished with 5 rounds in the 70s with a season low 72 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate.
