COLUMBIA, Missouri – The UNI team took on in-state rival Iowa State in game 1 of the NCAA Regional, defeating the Cyclones by rule in the fifth inning 8-0.
The game was originally scheduled for 1 pm but did not start until 6 pm due to rain delays. The delay didn't slow down the Panthers, getting out to a quick 4-0 lead from a 2 RBI double from Brooke Snider and a 2 RBI single from Emmy Wells in the top of the second inning.
