Sydney Eaton Wins UNI Spring Invite

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI women's golf team finished in second place at the UNI Spring Invite. UNI's Sydney Eaton earned medalist honors with a final day 75 to shoot 222 for the tournament.
The Iowa Hawkeyes won the team title with a three round total of 897 with help from a third round 296. The Hawkeys had all 9 golfers place in the top 20, including 6 in the top 10.
Sydney Eaton's third round 75 moved her ahead of Iowa's Klara Wildhaber and Morgan Goldstein as well as day 1 leader Kristen Giles from Drake by one stroke. Hannah Bermel shot a third round 77 while Emily Snelling carded a 76 to tie for 6th place at 230.
The Panthers will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday when they take place in the Stampede at The Creek hosted by Omaha.
