UNI Wrestling heads to Tulsa for the Big 12 Wrestling Championship at the BOK Center. The tournament begins at 11 a.m. Saturday with live coverage on ESPN+ and Live results on Track Wrestling. The

• Brody Teske and Parker Keckeisen were awarded the top seeds in the Big 12 Championship. Keckeisen is the top seed at 184. He finished the regular season with a 9-0 record, including a 3-0 record against Big 12 opponents. Teske is ranked No. 1 at 125. He finished the regular season 8-1 with a 5-0 record in Big-12 duals. He picked up a major decision, a tech fall and a pin against Big 12 wrestlers.

• Seven Panthers were ranked in the NCWA Individual rankings. Parker Keckeisen leads the way at fifth, Carter Isley is ranked sevneth, Brody Teske is ranked eighth. Kyle Biscoglia comes in at 14th and Lance Runyon (20th), Patrick Schoenfelder (32nd) and Triston Lara (30th) are all in the top-32 for UNI.

• Triston Lara moved into the rankings after his pin of returning All-American Jarrett Deegan of Iowa State.

• Parker Keckeisen remains undefeated on the year so far. Brody Teske is 8-1 while Carter Isley is 6-2 on the year. All three wrestlers have wins over ranked opponents.

• Coach Doug Schwab is the returning Big 12 Coach of the Year.

• Carter Isley (4th), Jack Skudlarczyk (5th) and Austin Yant (7th) finished in the top eight at the Big 12 Championship a year ago. Several Panthers finished in the top 8, but did not return this season, including champions Bryce Steiert and Taylor Lujan.

•Three wrestlers on the roster have qualified for nationals, but only transfer Keegan Moore has wrestled in the NCAA Championships. Jack Skudlarczyk and Carter Isley both qualified for the 2020 NCAA Championships before it was canceled.

• Four wrestlers from Fort Dodge High School started for the Panthers in five duals. Brody Teske (125), Drew Bennett (141), Triston Lara (149) and Cayd Lara (157) are all in the lineup for UNI, Cayd Lara missed the dual with Oklahoma. It is believed that it is the first time that four wrestlers from the same high school were in the same lineup since 1949 when four Waterloo West wrestlers lined up for Cornell College.

• The Panthers have dominated the 184 weight class. Parker Keckeisen enters the Big 12 Championship with a 9-0 record and the No. 1 seed. In 2020, Taylor Lujan won the tournament and earned the No. 1 seed at the NCAA Championship. In 2019, Drew Foster won the Big 12 title and went on to win the NCAA Championship.
