PARK FOREST, Ill. – The UNI women's tennis team fell to Chicago State, 4-3, in Park Forest, Ill. on Saturday.

The Panthers secured the doubles point with sophomore Thaissa Moreira/senior Valentina Caro sweeping Susana Andres/Sofiya Sedovich, 6-0, on the No. 2 court and a win by default on the No. 3 court.

Going into singles play with a 1-0 lead, the Purple and Gold picked up another point with a win by default on the No. 6 court. Moreira posted UNI's third and final point with a two-set victory over Sedovich on the No. 2 court. Sophomore Emma Carr, and seniors Madeline Doherty and Valentina Caro locked into three-set battles on the No. 1, No. 3, and No. 4 courts, but fell just short of their opponents in their respective third sets.
