UNI women’s tennis concludes season with 4-0 loss at Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The UNI women's tennis team wrapped up its 2025-26 season on Tuesday morning, falling 4-0 to Iowa in a road matchup at the Hawkeyes' home courts in Iowa City.
The Panthers battled in doubles play to open the dual, but Iowa set the tone early by securing all three matches. At the top spot, Daianne Hayashida and Sally Xi defeated Lucia Schuknecht and Andjela Raznatovic, 6-1. On court three, Nikita Vishwase and Pia Kranholdt topped Andrea Noa Galin and Kayla Santosa, 6-0. The No. 2 doubles match between Tereza Dejnozkova/Eline Bex and Abbie Peterson/Yangjiaxin Li was unfinished with Iowa leading 4-2.
In the singles competition, Iowa continued its strong performance to clinch the match. At No. 1 singles, Dejnozkova defeated Raznatovic, 6-0, 6-1. Hayashida followed with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Schuknecht at No. 2 singles. Peterson, Galin and Santosa all battled in their respective matches, with several contests going unfinished as Iowa secured the fourth team point.
