UNI Women's Soccer Begins Season

Wednesday, February 17, 2021 - Rockford, Illinois (Indoor Sports Center)
UNI vs. Valparaiso - 1 p.m.
The Panthers begin the season on the road in a non-conference matchup against Valparaiso. UNI ended the 2019 season with a 5-11 overall record, while the Crusaders ended with a 2-15-1 overall record.
UNI meets the Crusaders for the 8th time in program history.
The Panthers Quick Notes:
• The Panthers return two seniors, Johnnie Hill and Shelby Unruh.
• UNI received the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award in September of 2020 for the 2019 season.
• Lizzie Mewes returns for her sophomore year after receiving All-Freshman recognition for the 2019 season.
• UNI women's soccer received the Academic Progress Rate Public Recognition Award for the 2018-2019 academic year.
• The Panthers welcome ten newcomers to the team, consisting of five freshman, four sophomores and one junior.
