
Hayley Harnden hired to UNI Athletics facilities staff

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI Athletics has hired Hayley Harnden as an event manager for its facilities and game operations team.
Harnden will oversee game management for selective sports and special events, work with student scheduling for internal and external events, and manage multiple outside event rentals.
"We are very excited to have Hayley on board with our facilities staff," said Brooke Croshier-Sidebotham, assistant athletic director for facilities and operations. "Her impressive record of experience in game operations and management will be a fantastic addition to our team."
Harnden comes to UNI after serving as the development coordinator at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, where she created and maintained processes with frontline fundraisers. Harnden also compiled and analyzed data and information for the university's database, and recommended strategic actions to ensure the completion of the university's fundraising priorities and goals.
Prior to her time in Colorado Springs, Harnden worked as an athletics operations manager at Ball State University, carrying out various duties including the creation of an extensive development operations plan, the collection of a variety of data from peer institutions and presenting them to department leadership, and gathering information from sports programs and the administrative office for annual reports.
Harnden also brings experience to UNI after holding a variety of roles with Kutztown University, the Chicago Cubs spring training staff, Arizona State University, the La Crosse Loggers of the Northwoods League (NWL), and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Harnden earned her Bachelor of Science degree in sport management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2016, with a minor in professional organization and organizational communication. Three years later, she earned a Master of Science degree in sport management from California University of Pennsylvania.
Harnden is a native of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and now resides in Cedar Falls.
