CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI Athletics and Learfield's Panther Sports Properties announced today a multi-year renewal of their existing broadcast relationship with the Cedar Falls-based Coloff Media. The extension will see Coloff's various stations continue to provide radio coverage for Panther fans across northeast Iowa through the 2029-30 athletic season.
As they have for the last three seasons, fans will find Panther football and men's basketball broadcasts on KCVM FM 93.5 The Mix in Cedar Falls-Waterloo, with expanded radio coverage on KHAM FM 103.1 in Britt, IA and KCHA AM 1580/103.3 in Charles City, IA. Additionally, all women's basketball and volleyball games will continue to be broadcast on Corn Country 106.5 FM and 93.5 HD-2 in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area.
The relationship we've built with Coloff Media is much more than a broadcast agreement - it's a true partnership, said Scott Peace, Senior Associate AD for Revenue Generation at UNI Athletics. Their team is always willing to go the extra mile to help us tell the Panther Athletics story, promote our programs, and create opportunities to connect with fans throughout Iowa. We're grateful for their continued support and look forward to what's ahead.
Football and men's basketball broadcasts on Coloff Media stations are led by J.W. Cox, who is entering his fifth year as the Voice of the Panthers and Director of Broadcasting. Cox is joined by football color analyst and UNI alum Scott Peterson, who is in his 36th year as a member of the UNI broadcast team. Volleyball and women's basketball broadcasts will continue to be led by Chris Kleinhans-Schulz, who is back for his 15th year.
Coloff Media is excited to extend our agreement as the flagship radio home for the UNI Panthers in the Cedar Valley on our hometown stations 93.5 The Mix and 106.5 & 93.5 HD2 Corn Country, said Jim Coloff, President of Coloff Media. Fans love to support and follow all the UNI programs, and we are proud to bring them the coverage free, convenient and over the airwaves on the radio.
Panther football, men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball game broadcasts and additional athletics content are also available worldwide through The Varsity Network online and on The Varsity Network app.
Our goal with our radio broadcast relationship is always to provide the best possible listening experience for Panther fans across northeast Iowa, said Mike Murray, General Manager of Panther Sports Properties. Coloff Media has delivered on that for the past three years, and we are thrilled to continue our partnership and present the UNI fanbase with high-quality radio broadcast led by the Voice of the Panthers, J.W. Cox.
Panther Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the media and technology company powering college athletics – is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for UNI Athletics and oversees the radio broadcast relationship with Coloff Media on behalf of the Panthers.
