Panther Soccer to Take on Indiana State Saturday

THIS WEEK'S ACTION:
Saturday, October 9th - Cedar Falls, Iowa
UNI vs. Indiana State - 1 p.m.Â
THE PANTHERS:
- The Panthers win in overtime against Illinois State was the Panthers first overtime win since 2019. The last OT win for UNI was on October 12th, 2019 against Indiana State.
- The Panthers moved up the NCAA statistical rankings in fouls per game this week. UNI now ranks 8th in the nation for fouls per game among Division 1 women's soccer teams. Last week the Panthers were at 17th in the nation for fouls per game.
- Lily Caso's game-winning goal on Sunday afternoon against Illinois State was her first game-winning goal in her career as a Panther. Caso has one other goal on the season from UNI's game against Viterbo on August 21st.
- Panther forward Lauren Heinsch currently leads the MVC in two different categories, goals per game and total goals. Heinsch tacked another goal onto her resume Sunday against Illinois State.
THE SYCAMORES:
- The Sycamores had their first conference win of the season last week against Evansville winning 4-1.
- Sycamore forward Mackenzie Kent leads the Sycamores with 10 points (four goals, two assists). Her four goals are tied for third-most in the MVC.
-Â Kent was named the MVC Freshman of the Week for the second time this season. She totaled 10 shot attempts and two goals in two games against Evansville and Drake.
