
UNI Athletics promotes 4 Panther staff members

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Four Panthers earned promotions with the University of Northern Iowa Athletics Department.
Jamar Thompson has been named UNI's associate athletics director of external affairs, overseeing UNI Athletics' marketing, communication and fundraising efforts.
Stacia Eggers was promoted to senior associate athletics director of student services, and Andrea Greve Coello earned the title of assistant athletics director of student-athlete development and inclusion.
Andrew Stallman has taken over as concessions and retail operations manager for UNI Athletics.
"It's always exciting for us to give our staff members opportunities to be recognized and to step into new responsibilities," said UNI Director of Athletics David Harris. "We believe that our department will be stronger because of these moves. Andrea, Andrew, Jamar and Stacia have earned these opportunities and we couldn't be happier for them. They each contribute to furthering our mission and helping us pursue our vision of unprecedented success. I ask the Panther Family to join us in congratulating them on their respective promotions."

He continues to build support for scholarships, team support and capital projects, including the UNI-Dome renovation and outdoor track replacement.
Thompson is a former student-athlete and captain for the Panther football squad. He earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from UNI in 2010. He added his master's degree in communications studies from UNI in 2012. He served as a graduate assistant with the Panther Scholarship Club (PSC) in 2011-2012, where he helped the PSC fundraise more than $1.1 million.
Thompson is an active member in the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD), National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA) and Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Thompson also serves as a volunteer for Northeast Iowa Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).
He and his wife, Natalie, reside in Cedar Falls with their son, Zikari, and daughter, Anaya.

She advises the football and men's basketball teams and has added oversight of the strength and conditioning and athletic training programs as well as student-athlete health insurance. She also serves as the liaison to the Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Council (IAAC) and has co-chaired the Athletics Department's Re-Opening and Resocialization Committee throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under her direction, UNI student-athletes have had a higher grade point average than the general student body for the past 23 consecutive semesters. UNI student-athletes also completed more than 3,100 hours of community service prior to the pandemic, which is the highest on record.
Eggers earned her bachelor's (family services) and master's (postsecondary education: student affairs) degrees from UNI.
She and her husband, Travis, have two daughters, Kiaya and Peyton.

Her expanded role includes a focus on diversity and inclusion efforts designed to create an atmosphere that respects differences and encourages social change.
She advises the volleyball, softball, women's basketball and swimming/diving squads for their academic needs. Additionally, she oversees the Panther Life Skills programming. This includes the development and implementation of programs to meet the personal and professional needs of all UNI student-athletes.
Greve Coello earned her Bachelor of Arts in Family Services from UNI in 2011 and her Master of Arts in Gerontology from USF in 2014. As an undergraduate at UNI, she served as an academic coach and tutor.
She and her husband, Elard, have a daughter, Lee. The family lives in Waterloo.

He oversees food service needs at outlets and stands throughout the UNI-Dome, McLeod and West Gym on game day, for concerts and at other expos and exhibits UNI hosts. Stallman is partially responsible for the experience in UNI suites, and working with teams for beverage needs on game day.
Stallman is a 2011 graduate of UNI's construction management program. While attending UNI, he held positions with UNI Athletics Facilities working security and doing game day setup operations. He worked for Peters Construction directly out of college before joining UNI full time.

In alignment with UNI Athletics' strategic plan, which is titled Panthers Rising, Greve Coello shifted from her role as academic advisor and life skills coordinator to assistant athletics director for student-athlete development & inclusion.
