THE PANTHERS
•Averaging 12.00 tackles per contest, MLB Spencer Cuvelier ranks 2nd in the MVFC and 3rd in the nation.

•Quarterback Theo Day has averaged 14.74 yards per reception this season, ranking 1st in the MVFC and 2nd in the nation behind only Eastern Washington's Eric Barrierier (15.81).

• The Panthers rank 2nd in the MVFC in total defense, surrendering only 304 yards per contest this season the Panthers trail only NDSU (226.5).

• MLB Spencer Cuvelier earned MVFC Defensive Player of the week for the second time this season after finishing with 17 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1 pass breakup against Youngstown State.

• The Panther offense exploded in the third quarter against Sacramento State, scoring 27 unanswered points behind Theo Day at QB. Entering the game at halftime Day finished with 120 yards passing for 6-11 with 2 touchdowns.

• The UNI defense forced 6 turnovers at Sacramento State. The last time UNI forced 6 turnovers was Sept 8, 2012 when the #7 Panthers beat DII Central State 56-0.

• MLB Spencer Cuvelier recorded 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries while leading the team with 15 tackles against Sacramento State to earn MVFC Defensive Player of the Week honors as well as Stats Perform National Defensive Player of the Week.

• The Panthers return all 22 offensive and defensive starters from last season.

• 11 Panthers were honored with MVFC Preseason honors, Jared Brinkman (First Team), Trevor Penning (First Team), Spencer Cuvelier (First Team), Mathew Cook (First Team), Omar Brown (Second Team), Austin Evans (Second Team), Deion McShane (Second Team), Will McElvain (HM), Isaiah Weston (HM), Benny Sapp III (HM), Tyler Hoosman (HM).

THE JACKRABBITS
• Home-field advantage has meant little in the recent series as the road team has won six of the last nine meetings dating back to 2014, including the visiting team winning each of the last two matchups.

• Northern Iowa ended South Dakota State's season in the 2019 playoffs with a 13-10 victory at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, whille the Jackrabbits rallied for a 24-20 victory in the 2020-21 season opener on Feb. 19 at the UNI-Dome in their most recent meeting.

• South Dakota State is one of only two Football Championship Subdivision programs to reach the playoffs each of the last nine seasons, including making consecutive national semifinal appearances in 2017 and 2018.

• Through its first six games this season, the South Dakota State offense has averaged 7.7 yards per play. The Jackrabbits averaged at least 7.5 yards per play in each of their first three games, highlighted by an average of 9.3 yards per play in their Sept. 11 home opener against Lindenwood.

• The Jackrabbits have 40 plays of 20 or more yards from scrimmage through six games, the longest of which was an 85-yard touchdown run by Pierre Strong, Jr. Oct. 9 versus Southern Illinois.

• South Dakota State middle linebacker Adam Bock established a new career high with 17 tackles, including a half-sack, in the Jackrabbits' overtime loss to Southern Illinois on Oct. 9. Bock's previous high was 13 tackles last season against North Dakota State and matched versus Southern Illinois in their last matchup, an FCS playoff quarterfinal this past May.
