- After a 181 yard performance at NDSU, Isaiah Weston leads the MVFC in yards per game with 113.0. The standout wide received averages 32.29 yards per catch.
- Standout MLB Spencer Cuvelier has totaled 23 tackles in MVFC play, ranking 3rd with 11.5 tackles per game. Cuvelier also ranks 3rd in Valley play with 1.5 tackles for loss per game.
- The Panthers and Coyotes have the two best defenses early in the season. Through three games the Coyotes have surrendered just 300.67 yards per game while the Panthers have given up just 306.5 yards per game.Â
- Â MLB Spencer Cuvelier earned MVFC Defensive Player of the week for the second time this season after finishing with 17 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1 pass breakup against Youngstown State.
- Â The Panther offense exploded in the third quarter against Sacramento State, scoring 27 unanswered points behind Theo Day at QB. Entering the game at halftime Day finished with 120 yards passing for 6-11 with 2 touchdowns.
- Â The UNI defense forced 6 turnovers at Sacramento State. The last time UNI forced 6 turnovers was Sept 8, 2012 when the #7 Panthers beat DII Central State 56-0.
- Â MLB Spencer Cuvelier recorded 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries while leading the team with 15 tackles against Sacramento State to earn MVFC Defensive Player of the Week honors as well as Stats Perform National Defensive Player of the Week.

- USD is back in the national rankings for the first time since March after knocking off No. 13/15 North Dakota at home last week.
- Â Travis Theis became the third USD running back to eclipse 100 yards in the last four games.
- The defense, led by preseason all-American Jack Cochrane, continues to be unfriendly to opposing running backs. UND all-American Otis Weah ran for 58 yards on 15 carries, opposing running backs have yet to rush for a touchdown through six games.
- Mason Lorber has made eight consecutive field goals. USD has outscored FCS foes 125-31 in the first half and outgained them by an average of 289-126.
- This Coyote team enters with a ground game that ranks 18th nationally at 200 yards per contest. Starter Travis Theis is coming off his best game as a Coyote, a 23-carry, 138-yard effort against North Dakota.
- Theis broke 15 tackles during the game and had 104 yards after first contact. He ranks fifth in the Valley in rushing with 380 yards and has scored five touchdowns.
- Headlining the Coyote defense are all-Valley linebackers Jack Cochrane and Brock Mogensen, the team's top-two tacklers. Cochrane leads the team with 6.5 tackles-for-loss. Mogensen has 5.0 tackles-for-loss including a sack.
- Free safety Elijah Reed has two of the team's four interceptions and is USD's third-leading tackler.
