Panther Soccer Heads to Missouri State Wednesday

THIS WEEK'S ACTION:
Wednesday, October 13th - Springfield, Missouri
UNI at Missouri State - 1 p.m.
THE PANTHERS:
- With her 6th goal of the season on Saturday, freshman forward Lauren Heinsch moved back into a three-way tie for most goals in the Missouri Valley. Heinsch currently shares the spot with Kelsie James of Valparaiso and Megan Nemec of Loyola.
- The Panthers will take their one and only multiple-game road trip of the Missouri Valley Conference portion of the schedule this week. UNI will make stops in Springfield and Valparaiso on Wednesday and Sunday.
- The Panthers are still looking for their first winning streak of the season. UNI has only put together single wins or a tie followed by a win this year.
- Missouri State will be the longest road trip mile-wise of the season for the Panthers. The 369 mile trek over 100 miles longer than the distance to Valparaiso UNI will be traveling to later in the week.Â
THE BEARS:
- The Bears played conference leading Loyola to a 0-0 tie last week through 110 minutes.Â
-Â The Missouri State attack has been balanced this season, with 10 Bears having at least a point this season while nine Bears have scored goals.
- Missouri State leads the Missouri Valley and ranks 23rd nationally in shot accuracy. The Bears have put 55 percent of their shots on goal so far this season.
- Bears head coach Rob Brewer is in his final season after he announced his retirement earlier this year. Brewer has been with the Bears since 1996.Â
