Panther Swim and Dive Kicks Off Season at Iowa State

AMES, IA - The UNI Swimming and Diving team will kick off the 2021 season against Iowa State on Saturday. Originally scheduled as a home meet, the Panthers agreed to travel to Ames to allow the Cyclones to host a meet this season.
Saturday's meet will be the first of the season for UNI, who have not competed since the 2020 MVC Championships last February. Iowa State took on Nebraska-Omaha Jan. 6th where they won 187-79.
The Panthers come into the year ranked fifth in the MVC preseason poll. UNI returns three athletes who received All-MVC Honors last season with Sarah Walpole, Mia Savicevic, and Anna Penning. Penning was named Freshman Diver of the Year last season.
