Five Panther Teams Honored for NCAA APR Public Recognition

INDIANAPOLIS – Five UNI teams received Academic Progress Rate Public Recognition Awards for the 2018-19 Academic Year, released by the NCAA Tuesday.
UNI men's cross country, women's golf, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving and women's tennis were all honored with the award which recognizes teams that are in the top 10 percent of their respective sport's APR standings.
UNI women's golf earned their eighth consecutive honor. Women's soccer picked up the honor for the second year in a row and third overall. Women's tennis earned the honor for the second year in a row and seventh year overall.
Men's cross country and women's swimming and diving were honored for the second year in a row and the second time ever.
In the 15 years of the program, UNI has earned 64 total APR Public Recognition Awards. UNI volleyball has the most honors with 13 all-time. Twelve Panther teams have received at least one recognition.
