
Panther Women Travel to Valpo, Loyola

UNI women's basketball hits the road for the final trip of the regular season with stops at Valparaiso Friday and Loyola Sunday. The Panthers are coming off of a key win over Bradley Saturday in the McLeod Center. UNI is 16-10 on the year and 8-7 in MVC play.Â
• Two Crusader players average over 12.0 points per game. Grace Hales scores a team-high 12.5 PPG and Addison Stoller averages 12.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Valparaiso is 15-10 on the season and 7-7 9n league. They are 7-4 at home so far this season. The Panthers won the first match 77-70 in Cedar Falls.Â
•Loyola is also 15-10 on the year and 6-8 in MVC play.  Abby O'Connor leads Loyola with 12.9 Points and 8.1 rebounds per game. The Ramblers opened the season with nine consecutive wins, but have lost the last three. Loyola hosts Drake Friday.Â
• UNI closed non-conference play with the most non-conference wins in school history (8), three wins over Power-Five Schools and an undefeated home record. The Panthers defeated No. 20 Iowa 88-66.Â
• Karli Rucker leads UNI at 12.8 points per game. Megan Maahs is second on the team with 9.1 PPG. Bre Gunnels leads with the team with 6.2 rebounds per game and Megan Maahs averages 5.2 RPG.Â
• The Panthers are ranked 13th in the NCAA in free-throw percentage at 77.6%. UNI is also 25th in the NCAA with 8.3 three-pointers made per game.Â
• UNI has played in the postseason in nine of the last 10 seasons, including an appearance in the WNIT in 2019 where the Panthers met Minnesota in the first round.
• UNI played five games against Power-Five Opponents, the most among Missouri Valley Conference teams. The Panthers went 3-2 with wins over Iowa, Iowa State and Missouri.
• Depth has been a theme for the Panthers. Ten UNI players average more than 13.7 minutes of playing time per game. No player averages more than 29.5 minutes per game. Nine players score 4.9 or more points per game and seven players have led UNI in scoring for at least one game.
