THE PANTHERS
- UNI picked up their first win of the season, beating the Fighting Bees of St. Ambrose 98-53.
- Trae Berhow made his season debut against St. Ambrose, finishing with 19 points going 7-9 from the field while hauling in 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
- Freshman stole the show against the Fighting Bees, Bowen Born finished with 16 points with 4 rebounds and 2 assists while Nate Heise totaled 11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.
- Freshman Bowen Born has averaged 14.8 points per game while shooting 41.5% from the field.
- Sophomore Noah Carter is shooting 50% (10-20) from beyond the three-point arc, leading the Panthers and 3rd in the MVC.
THE SPIDERS
- Richmond is 3-0 for the second straight season, making this the first time UR has opened a season with three straight wins in consecutive years since the 1953-54 and 1954-55 seasons.
- Jacob Gilyard has registered six assists and five steals in each of his last two games. Over the last 10 seasons, no player in Division I has more games with six or more assists and five or more steals than Gilyard, who has 12.
- Richmond has won seven straight games dating back to last season, its longest win streak since winning nine straight during the 2010-11 season.
- The Spiders were picked to win the Atlantic 10 in the conference's preseason poll, receiving 19 of the 28 first-place votes from a panel of the league's head coaches and media members. It is the first time Richmond has been picked to win the A-10 since joining the conference in 2001.
- In November, Jacob Gilyard was named to Preseason All-Atlantic 10 First Team and Grant Golden and Blake Francis were named to the Second Team. Richmond is first team to have three players on the Preseason All A-10 First Team or Second Team since Xavier in 2011.
