The Panthers and Purple Aces will take the floor for the 57th time in program history on Saturday afternoon. THE PURPLE ACES
• On January 21, it was announced that Todd Lickliter inked a multi-year deal to become the Aces head coach.
• An assistant with UE last season, Lickliter has been a head coach at Butler, Iowa and Marian and was honored as the 2007 NABC National Coach of the Year while at Butler.
• While the team continues to search for its first conference victory, the Aces have shown improvement in each game under the leadership of head coach Todd Lickliter.
• After shooting 30.2% against Drake, UE has improved to shoot 40.0% at Valparaiso before registering a 47.2% effort against the Redbirds.
• From January 8-15, UE was outrebounded by 11.7 per game but over the last four games, UE has finished with the exact number of rebounds as the opposition.
• Senior K.J. Riley continues to rank near the top of the NCAA in free throw makes (100) and attempts (124). His 100 makes is 17th in the nation while his 124 attempts is 39th.
• This season, the Aces are 4-2 when shooting at least 40% from outside and 1-9 when finishing at under 30% UE is 3-6 when attempting 25 or more triples.
• When comparing the stats for UE in non-conference play versus MVC contests, there are a few disparities. In non-conference contests, UE averaged 78.1 points per game while shooting 45.5%. Through nine league games, the Aces have averaged 56.4 points while shooting 38.1%. The numbers in 3-point shooting drop from 35.7% to 27.4% in the Valley.
• Evansville has scored under 60 points in six out of nine conference games; the team was held under 60 on two occasions in 13 non-conference games
