UNI Women Host Loyola, Valparaiso

UNI returns home for the first two of four consecutive home games. The Panthers host Loyola Friday before welcoming Valparaiso Sunday.Â
• UNI looks to bounce back after a pair of road conference losses, but the Panthers return home where they are 6-0 on the season, including a 22-point win over No. 19 Iowa. UNI is 11-7 overall and 3-4 in valley play, but have played five of its first seven MVC games on the road.Â
• Loyola is 13-5 on the season and 4-3 in Valley play. They took Missouri State to overtime in their season opener and have wins against Southern Illinois and Illinois State in league play. The Ramblers are 8-1 on the road this season.  Abby O'Connor leads the Ramblers with 14.1 points per game. Allison Day averages 12.7 PPG.Â
• Valparaiso brings an identical record to UNI into the weekend. They picked up a comeback win over Loyola last weekend and closed non-conference play with six consecutive wins. They open the weekend with a game with Drake Friday in Des Moines. Grace Hales averages a team-high 12.1 PPG and Addison Stoller scores 11.0.Â
• UNI closed non-conference with the most non-conference wins in school history (8), three wins over Power-Five Schools and an undefeated home record.Â
• Karli Rucker leads UNI at 12.7 points per game and Kam Finley is second for UNI with 10.0 PPG. Bre Gunnels leads with the team with 6.0rebounds per game and Cynthia Wolf averages 4.6 RPG.Â
• The Panthers are ranked 12th in the NCAA in free-throw percentage at 77.2%. UNI is also 19th in the NCAA with 8.6 three-pointers made per game.Â
• UNI has played in the postseason in nine of the last 10 seasons, including an appearance in the WNIT in 2019 where the Panthers met Minnesota in the first round.
• UNI played five games against Power-Five Opponents, the most among Missouri Valley Conference teams. The Panthers went 3-2 with wins over Iowa, Iowa State and Missouri.
