Katie Taylor Named MVC Swimmer of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Missouri - After a dominant performance by the Panthers swim and dive team this weekend, Katie Taylor was named the Missouri Valley Conference Swimmer of the Week. Taylor had seven first place finishes in two meets against Western Illinois and Illinois State.
Taylor took first in the 100 Fly (57.31), the 100 Breast (1:07.50), and the 200 Medley Relay (1:51.45) on Friday. On Saturday, she won the 200 Free (1:52.91), 100 Free (52.33), the 200 IM (2:05.06), and the 200 Medley Relay (1:46.88).
This is the third time this season Taylor has earned Swimmer of the Week honors from the conference. She also earned the honors back in October and November.Â
The senior will compete in her final home meet in Glen Henry Pool on Saturday, January 25th as the Panthers take on the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. Fans can track the action by downloading the Meet Mobile App.
