UNI Softball Defeats Iowa Central, 16-1

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa- UNI softball defeats Iowa Central, 16-1.

Northern Iowa vs. Iowa Central | Final Score - W, 16-1

Samantha Heyer started the game for the Panthers. Heyer only allowed one run, two hits, and had four strikeouts. Jaclyn Spencer entered following Heyer and did not allow a run and also had four strikeouts. Hannah Kelley and Madison Parks each pitched an inning as well.

On offense, the Panthers scored 16 runs on 19 hits. The majority of the scoring happened in the first and fourth innings. During those innings, the Panthers put up 14 runs combined. The Panthers had nine different players get hits. Six of those nine players had a multi-hit game. Four home runs were hit by Alyvia DuBois, Sammey Bunch (2), and Jaclyn Spencer.
