Men's Golf Notes

Cedar Falls, IA - The UNI men's golf team are set to compete at the Derek Dolenc Invitational, hosted by Southern Illinois University. The tournament will start the team's fall season.

The Panthers will travel to Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, IL. Gateway is an 18 hole par 71 regulation course, 5 miles away from downtown St. Louis and the historic Gateway Arch.

UNI returns nine contributors from last year in Tommy Doyle (soph.), Alex Pries (soph.), Chritoph Kuttnigg (soph.), Carter Stochl (jr.), Andrew Wood (jr.), Parker Oleson (jr.), Royce Weber (jr.), Jack Klingel (sr.), and Sam Sacquitne (sr.). New additions to the team include: Ben Bermel (fr.) and Griffin Parker (fr.). Sam Sacquitne lead the Panthers last year, with an 18 hole overage of 74.86. Parker Oleson and Alex Pries followed with 76 and 76.67 respectively.

Gateway National is a first-class links course and it remains the only true links-style course in the St. Louis area. The Panthers will tee off at 8 a.m. Monday, September 23rd.
