Panther Cross Country Runs at Illinois State

Cedar Falls, Iowa – UNI cross country travels to Normal, Illinois Friday to take a peek at the conference this year at the Illinois State Invitational at the Weibring Golf Club.

A large number of Missouri Valley Conference teams compete at the event

The Panthers take a bigger squad this week in both the men's and women's side. McKayla Cole opens her seasons racing alongside her teammates. Other racers to keep an eye on this weekend for the panthers include Gabby Champion, Cassidy Ihns, and Paige Holub, who look to improve on a solid performance last week in Iowa City.

The women are slated to run a 5K with the race beginning at 5 p.m.

For the men, junior Drake Henrichs races for the first time this season. Other runners to watch on the men's side are CJ May, Wal Khat, and Logan Murray, the top three finishers for UNI at the Hawkeye Invite.

The Men's 8K race begins at 5:45 p.m.
