
UNI Tennis Heads to Wisconsin

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The UNI Panthers tennis squad returns to action for matches in Wisconsin this weekend.
The Panthers will face the Panthers of Milwaukee for a 1 p.m. match at the River Glen Elite on March 8.
The Panthers will round out the weekend, facing UW-Whitewater on March 9 for a 12 p.m. match-up. The match will take place at the Lake Geneva Tennis Club.
Milwaukee and UNI have both competed against Omaha and North Dakota. Milwaukee posts a 1-2 record against Missouri Valley Conference teams, defeating Valparaiso. Bradley and Drake posted victories against the Milwaukee Panthers. Milwaukee and UNI will share one additional opponent this season as UW-Whitewater plays host to both teams on March 9.
Last Time Out
The Panthers were swept 7-0 by Minnesota in a meeting on Feb. 8 in Minneapolis.
Daisy Phillips, in the No. 5 singles spot, had her winning streak cut short as Caitlyn Merzbacher defeated Phillips 6-1, 6-2. Reghan Lynch fell in the No. 1 singles spot, 6-0, 6-0. Valentina Caro fell in the No. 6 singles spot 6-0, 6-0.
Phillips and Olivia Fain were defeated in the No. 3 doubles spot 6-1. Lynch and Claudia Toledo were defeated in the No. 1 doubles spot as Minnesota took the doubles point.
