UNI Women's Basketball Hosts Bradley, Illinois State

The Panthers close out the regular season with a pair of home games. UNI hosts Bradley at 7 p.m. Thursday and Illinois State Saturday at 2 p.m. The Panthers topped Southern Illinois 76-67 Sunday in the final road game of the regular season spurred by Karli Rucker's career-high 28 points.Â
Rucker is the Panthers' leading scorer at 14.6 PPG. Ellie Howell is second at 10.6 PPG, although she has missed the last seven games with an injury. Heidi Hillyard and Bre Gunnels are both tops in the rebounding category for UNI at 4.7 RPG.Â
The Panthers are 11-5 in league and 18-10 overall. Bradley and Illinois State are both 10-6 in the MVC, a game back of UNI with two games to play in the regular season. The Braves are on a three-game win streak while the Redbirds have won two straight.Â
Three Bradley players average double figures. Gabi Haack averages a team-high 15.3 points while Chelsea Brackmann averages 13.2 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. The Panthers won the first meeting in overtime 81-78.
Illinois State has won seven of its last eight games. The Redbirds are led by a pair of dynamic players in Simone Goods (17.5 PPG) and Tete Maggette (15.9 PPG). The Redbirds won the first matchup 66-64 in come-from-behind fashion in the first MVC game of the season.Â
Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+.
