Men's Golf Finish 2nd in UNI Men's Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI men's golf team went four under par in the final round of the UNI Men's Invitational to finish in second place at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course.
The Panthers A team enters the final round eight shots behind Western Illinois. A final round 284 closed the gap to four but Western Illinois took home the tournament title.
UNI's Jack Klingel finished with a 71, with a two day total of 147 Klingel finished in fifth place. Sam Sacquitne carded a two under par 70 to total a 148 to tie for sixth place with teammate Tommy Doyle.
Carter Stochl finished tied for tenth after carding a final round 71 and Parker Oleson finished with a ten stroke improvement, finishing with a 70 for a 150 total, good enough for a tie for thirteenth.
Creighton's Tucker Knaak took home tournament medalist honors with rounds of 74 and a final round 69. Southwester's Oliver Pearson went 74/71 for a 145 total for second place. Jackson Wetherbee and Kyle Irbacker each finished at 146 and tied for third.
Western Illinois took home the team title with an eleven over par 587. UNI's A team finished second with a 591 while Creighton finished in third with a 601 total. The Panther B team finished fourth with 605 total and Southwestern Community College finished fifth with a two day total of 613.
