Day One: UNI Women's Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI women's golf team finished the first day of the UNI Women's Invitational in second place, just five strokes behind the tournament leader Drake.
Three Panthers carded 79s on the day, tied for fourth, in Sarah McMichael, Sydney Eaton, and Hannah Bermel. Emily Snelling finished in a tie for ninth with an 80 and Anne Gradoville carded an 81 in sole possession of twelfth place.
Drake carded the tournaments three lowest scores with Haeri Lee carding the low round of the day with a three over par 75. Aimee Gerschke ended at 77 while Kristin Giles finished in third with a 78.
The Panthers will be back in action for day two of the UNI Women's Invitational at 9 a.m. at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course.
