Panther Golf Teams Host UNI Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI men's and women's golf teams will host the UNI Invitational at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course on March 30-31.

Both men's and women's teams were scheduled to playing in the Bradley Invitational over the weekend but weather forced the Braves to cancel the event. The Panthers will host the teams on their home course to replace the date.

The tournament is scheduled for 18 holes on Saturday, March 30 and 18 holes on Sunday, March 31. Pheasant Ridge is a par 72 and will play 6,872 yards for the men and 6,109 for the women.

Teams expected the play in the UNI Men's Invitational include Creighton, Southeastern Community College, Western Illinois and UNI. Teams expected to play in the UNI Women's Invitational include Drake, Southeastern Community College, Western Illinois, Wisconsin Green Bay, and UNI.

This marks the first time the Panthers will host an event at their home course since the men's team hosted Creighton on April 13 2006.
