Rucker Named to MVC All-Tournament Team

MOLINE, Ill. – Karli Rucker led UNI in scoring in both Missouri Valley Tournament games to lead the Panthers back to the MVC semifinal for the fifth consecutive season and was named to the MVC All-Tournament team for her efforts.

She was 15-28 from the field (53.6 percent) in the two games for 39 points, she also added four assists and pair of steals in the games.

In Friday's quarterfinal game against Southern Illinois, Rucker scored a team-high 18 points. She was 6-14 from the field and 5-6 from the free throw line. She had a game-high seven rebounds to lead the Panthers to a 66-63 win.

In Saturday's semifinal, Rucker scored a team-high 21 points on 9-14 shooting and 3-4 from the three-point line. It was her eighth 20-point performance of the season.

The Panthers closed the MVC tournament with a 20-12 record and are currently ranked 88th in NCAA women's RPI. UNI appear to be in good position to gain a bid in the WNIT.
