Rucker Named All-MVC First Team

ST. LOUIS – Karli Rucker's transformation from freshman role player to sophomore All-Star is complete. Her improvement was recognized with her appointment to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Conference First Team, released Wednesday by the conference.
Rucker finished the regular season ninth in the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring at 14.3 points per game. She was also second in the Valley with 4.0 assists per game.
She scored 20 or more points seven times highlighted by a 28-point performance against Southern Illinois on March 3 in Carbondale.
The sophomore notched three double-doubles during the regular season.
UNI closed the season as the No. 3 seed in Hoops in the Heartland. The Panthers open the tournament Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. against Southern Illinois.
